CRB checked and approved. As a child I enjoyed good health - running and cycling as an adolescent and dancing my way into my 20`s, where I was working on a career in Nursing and Social Care. I had always been known for my high energy and insatiable appetite for life. During my 20`s, I endured a series of traumatic events which started to seriously interfere with my boundless energy I experienced my first symptoms of long-term fatigue & illness and it lasted for 2 years.
I worked hard to recover and reset my life with the help of good friends and I put myself into counselling - learning much and getting my life back on track. I raised my eldest son whilst living and working independently for many years, and I continued to read and self-study every aspect of self-healing, inner-change, spiritually or otherwise - I wanted any information that I could get my hands on. My appetite for understanding of the mind, body and spirit grew and this has never diminished. I found myself being in and witnessing many of lifes-experiences, and somehow always seem to be connected to people needing or giving help just at the right time.
By my 30`s, I had remarried and I went on to have more children. I continued to self-study and work my way through as many of my life-issues as I possibly could, and all seem to be relatively good when life changed dramatically after the birth of one of my children, and I was knocked sideways by a virus, spiralling into a pit and sequence of illness that was to last for over 7 years.
I never recovered from that virus properly and the over the next 7 months became largely house-bound with fatigue, foggy-headiness, weakness, pain, a severe chest-infection, heart and digestive disturbances and various other symptoms. After many tests I was diagnosed with M.E and Fybromyalgia. This devastated my life. I set about pulling on all the learning information and sources I had researched over the years and fed myself with even more books and trainings to absorb, in my quest for lasting recovery. There seemed to be no obvious answer - offering little hope of finding a way back to health. However, I deeply believed, by that time in my life, that if I was born fit and healthy - well then I could be that again, and that my symptoms were simply just "blocks" in my well-being for a reason. I just had to find the key/reason to what it was - to unlock them. I worked through many symptoms using all the self-healing knowledge I had and with the support from my wonderful husband together with help from my dear spiritually-linked friends, I did indeed eventually start to regain some of my health and at times it seemed I was living a normal life; but the reality was I could not sustain the recovery. I often fell back into the miserable pit of M.E and illness - time and time again. It was not that all of my hard work to recover was lost - it was more like the glue to hold it altogether was missing.
One day, I heard a debate on the radio about the Lightning Process - people were phoning in saying they had fully recovered (and in rapid time) from M.E There was lots of sceptism from other callers saying it was brain-washing nonsense and anyone who had recovered could not have had M.E in the first place. Another year passed and a friend sent me a book written by Alex Howard called Why M.E. His story - about his journey through M.E had me spell-bound - it was so similar to mine, even though his life was so very different to mine. He spoke of the Lightning Process to secure his complete recovery and I just knew that I had to have it too. I went for the Lightning Process and was in a relapsed state the night before. By the end of Day 1 of the 3 day training, I knew I did not have to do M.E ever again. I came home each night after visiting my friend and then went running! It was amazing! I was back and ready to change my life forever. It was like I had waited for that moment all my life and I knew that all my life`s experiences had come together in that moment- the Lightning Process was the start of a new journey. bringing together all my trainings and experiences together-I knew I would train in this process and work in holistic healing circles in a whole new way.
After training in the Process, I have since gone on to study in courses in clinical excellence with some of the UK`s leading pioneers (advanced clinical hypnotherapy neuro-lingiustics, life-coaching) and I now tutor and examine international students in this field, at the Phil Parker Training Institute in London. I previously been invited to sit as Examiner on the Board of Lightning Process Examiners.
Shortly after I met D.sc Gwynne Davies ( leading Clinincal Ecologist (rtd) and author of 5 books) whom has helped 1000's of people with illnesses such as arthritis, cancer, diabetes, psoriasis, asthma, ezcema, depression, gastro-intestinal etc, using ortho-molecular, natural medicine and nutrient therapy. I applied this to myself and was blown away with the difference it made to my energy, health and resolved a more recent health scare. This approach treats the CAUSE of illness- and I went on to train to become a Consultant myself in Clinical Ecology- an inclusive term for naturopathic immuno-allergist nutritionalist.
This very physical, bio-chemical, ortho-mloecular approach has combined with my aforesaid training may be applicable to ALL illnesses and conditions..
I currently now run my own practice - at Betchworth House in Chideock (West Dorset) and also Brighton (Sussex). I continue to learn and be amazed at the human capacity to heal itself, including myself!
